Fire Hydrant Systems: Engineering, Installation & Support
A fire hydrant system provides firefighting teams with controlled access to a pressurised water supply at designated points throughout a protected facility. Firepulse Automations LLP supports hydrant-system engineering, installation, testing and maintenance with attention to hydraulic distribution, accessibility and system integration.
How a Hydrant System Works
A fire-water source and pumping arrangement supply a dedicated network of pipes. Hydrant outlets, landing valves, hose arrangements and associated equipment are positioned so firefighting personnel can access water where required. System pressure and flow depend on the approved design and hydraulic demand.
Our Scope
We can support layout coordination, piping installation, valves and fittings, hydrant outlets, hose arrangements, pump integration, pressure testing, flushing, commissioning and maintenance.
Typical Components
Fire pumps, jockey pumps, ring mains, vertical risers, landing valves, hydrant valves, hose boxes or hose reels, pressure gauges, test arrangements, isolation valves and associated accessories.
Design Considerations
Pipe routing, hydraulic demand, building height, protected area, access, zoning, pump-room location, maintenance access and integration with the overall fire-water network must be considered together.
Applications
Residential and commercial buildings, factories, warehouses, logistics facilities, hotels, hospitals, educational institutions and large campuses.
